Flight delay compensation

Under EU Regulation 261/2004, you may be entitled to compensation of up to €600 if your flight arrived more than 3 hours late at your final destination. The regulation applies to all flights departing from an EU airport, or arriving at an EU airport on an EU-based airline.

Compensation amounts

€250 Up to 1,500 km

€400 1,500 - 3,500 km

€600 Over 3,500 km

Requirements

Flight arrived 3+ hours late at final destination
Delay was not caused by extraordinary circumstances
Flight departed from or arrived at an EU airport (EU carrier)
Claim filed within the applicable time limit
